Hi little coven. I recently had the opportunity to pull some cards and chat with author Cathryn Kemp, with whom I share an agent and a love for all things witchy.
Cathryn’s novel, A Poisoner’s Tale, is set in 17th-century Italy and explores the thrilling events leading up to the execution of a mysterious woman dubbed “The Poisoner of Palermo”. The heroine (or villain, you decide) at the heart of her tale isn’t just a poisoner, she’s also a tarot reader. You can listen to our conversation for free on the latest audio episode of The Shuffle, above.
Reminder: Subscription rates at the Shuffle go up tomorrow, May 1.
Subscription price is rising in order to help me sustain this publication, deliver higher quality articles and episodes, dedicate more time to the growing library of resources, and pay guest teachers for their contributions. If you’re reading this on April 30th, there’s still time to lock in the original rate (meaning you can get a year of The Shuffle for less than $1 a week).
Cathryn’s novel, A Poisoner’s Tale is available from bookshops around the world now. Get your copy.
