Card of the Month
The Page of Cups is ruling over February, a lighthouse beacon for open-minded, curious play.
Working with this archetype means being receptive to the strange but fascinating things that arrive, unbidden, into your life. Don’t knock a thing until you’ve tried it — or at least until you’ve asked a couple of questions to help you get a clearer picture of what you’re working with.
In a creative context, this card can be a guide for gathering inspiration from found materials and unexpected encounters — don’t count any possibility out until you’ve mind it for creative possibility this month.
This February, open your hands and catch what falls, uninvited into your palms. Look deeply at it all and dare to ask: how can I turn this into gold?
A Page of Cups-inspired Tarot Spread for February
To use this spread, shuffle your deck until it feels right to stop. Then, draw three cards. Lay the cards out face up, in correspondence to the following prompts:
A pleasant surprise
A strange delight
A curious question
All my love for February. And reminder that if you’re in London, I’d love to see you on my upcoming visit!
x Chelsey
Nice spread. I got Knight of Wands (R), Emperor (R), Knight of Swords (R). In my deck, the Knight of Wands is a beat cop. I took this spread as a hopeful sign that the power of the state is not as strong as the power of authentic artists, witches, and queer people, like the Stonewall Riot.
